Essential Solution Scalp Serum:
This scalp serum is a water based combination of a mid-potency topical steroid as well as a derivative of vitamin D to induce suppression of inflammation, dryness, and itching of the scalp. This is the perfect way to safely address hot spots on the scalp and ensure all day control of the flaking and itching.

Ketoconazole 2%
This medication will help to control the overgrowth of the Malassezia yeast on your scalp which is the underlying cause of the flaking and itching
Zinc pyrithione 1%
This is a non-prescription ingredient that suppresses yeast growth
Fluocinolone 0.025%
This is a low potency topical steroid that suppresses inflammation and itching in the scalp.
Salicylic acid 2%
This is a beta-hydroxy acid that gently dissolves the flakey build up in your scalp to keep you flake free.
The Essential Solution Scalp Serum
Triamcinolone 0.1%
This is a mid-potency topical steroid that suppresses inflammation and itching in the scalp.
Calcipotriene 0.005%
This medication is similar to vitamin D, which naturally suppresses inflammation in the skin.
Alcohol free water base
Makes it easy to apply when needed without drying out your scalp.
How to apply
Max Control:
For best results, apply this shampoo to wet hair and work into your scalp.
- Allow it to sit for 5-10 minutes then rinse it out completely.
- You can use your own shampoos and/or conditioners before or after applying this medication.
- We recommend using this product three times a week, but this can vary depending on your hair type and hair care practices. Even applying this shampoo once every two weeks will be beneficial, but if you apply it once a week or less we recommend allowing it to sit in your scalp for 10 minutes.
Essential Solution:
This scalp serum is best applied at least once a day to areas where itching and dryness typically occur
- For best results, apply this serum in the morning or evening to any areas of your scalp that commonly develop itching or flaking.
- Apply enough of the serum to provide a thin, even coat throughout the affected areas.
- Reapply throughout the day as needed to either the entire scalp, or to hot spots, to maintain a flake free, itch free scalp all day long.
Other important information
We do not recommend use of our products by patients who are pregnant, actively trying to conceive, or who are under the age of 13. For patients in those situations who have a dry, itchy scalp, we recommend consulting with a dermatologist in person.

I have had seborrheic dermatitis for years and nothing has really helped much. I got the bundle with the Essential Solution and the Max Control Shampoo, which has truly been a game changer for my scalp. Very simple to use and a very easy process. I didn't experience any irritation from using the shampoo or the solution. Just some tingling which I expected from a medicated shampoo. The smell wasn't overbearing as some medicated shampoos are. I bought the shampoo and oil combo. Both products seem to be working well and they smell good. I think the oil will last forever, so that's a must buy. The shampoo is also pretty good, but a relatively small bottle (I imagine I'll need a new one every month or so). The shampoo also needed a good shake before use, it does say that on the bottle but it's not obvious and you really notice the difference. All in, very good and would recommend.
I've struggled with dandruff for a while, and this medication made a noticeable difference within the first week. My scalp feels cleaner, less itchy, and the flakes are almost gone. Easy to use and much more effective than other products I've tried, highly recommend!
